What to expect on our cape town retreat

Our South Africa adventure will be split between two locations: the city and a safari lodge.

Our South Africa adventure begins in the heart of the Mother City. On arrival, you’ll meet a group of equally ambitious strangers who will become family over the next 10 days. Our welcome dinner will give you a chance to get to know each other before the real fun begins.

The next few days will be spent in a beautiful co-living villa. You’ll have fast WiFi and plenty of space to work should you need it, but there will also be a packed itinerary of business workshops, masterminds and well-being sessions to take part in if you wish. Every day, we’ll also head out on an excursion somewhere in the city and the surrounding area. Like everything else, these excursions are completely optional, but we’re sure you won’t want to miss them.

After a week in the Mother City, it’s time to head out to the South African bush! We’ll take a private transfer, where we’ll spend two nights surrounded by nature. With the chance to see the big five and experience a unique side of South Africa, you’re sure to leave refreshed and inspired.

The retreat ends in Cape Town for one final night, where we’ll reflect on the time we’ve spent together and say goodbye over a champagne sunset cruise and 3-course dinner, provided by our lead sponsor, Mediavine

Highlights of our Cape Town retreat:

  • Hang out on a beach with penguins and watch them run around on the sand
  • Hike to one of the best views in the world
  • Co-live with other digital nomads in a beach-side villa
  • Search for the big five on at least four safaris
  • Watch the sunset over Cape Town with champagne from the ocean
  • Experience local food and traditional South African music
  • Grow your blog with one-to-one guidance for experts on affiliate marketing, SEO, Pinterest marketing and more

Is this retreat right for you?

Location: South Africa is a blogging-focused retreat. While it’s not restricted to bloggers, online creators will get the most out of it.

That doesn’t mean you need to already have an established blog. If you’re a full-time blogger looking to take things to the next level, you’ll certainly find that here. But if you’re a new blogger – or haven’t even started your blog yet – you won’t be left behind.

The sessions and workshops on this trip have been chosen to be beneficial to both new and established bloggers, with a range of topics that relevant to all levels. We’ll ask you to provide some information when you apply so we can tailor everything to the participants we host.

Location: South Africa is a retreat-style trip, split between three different bases. All of our excursions take place from our accommodation, so you can stay and work if you need to.

The retreat has been designed so you can get as much (or little!) out of it as you like.

Got questions? We’ve tried to answer some of the questions we think you might have, but feel free to contact us if we haven’t answered yours below.

I’m not location independent. Can I still join?

You don’t need to be location independent to join any of our trips. Whether you’re aspiring to become location independent or want to keep your business a side hustle, our trips are tailored to your goals.

I’ve been running my own business for a while. Will I still get something out of this?

Would you like to meet, learn from and share ideas with other location independent entrepreneurs? Could you be earning more than you do? Is there an area you’re stuck on or can’t find the time to work on (even though you know you should)? Would you like to take you blogging business to the next level?

If you answered yes to the above, we’re sure you’ll take away lot from this retreat.

I don’t have a blog. Can I still join?

If you’re planning to start a blog as a standalone product or want to grow your business’s blog, you’ll learn more on this retreat than you would in several online courses.

If you don’t have a blog and have no intention to ever start one, you’re still welcome to join us for the fun but you may find the workshops and sessions at one of our other trips more beneficial.
